We are very pleased to announce the Paul and Yolanda Courtney Congress Bursary awardees for 2026.
The judges of the Paul and Yolanda Courtney Congress Bursary Award have reviewed all this year’s applications and made their recommendations. 2026 was a successful year, with many applications. That made the decision-making process rather difficult. However, two applications stood out.
The judges recommended splitting the award between two PhD students. Congratulations to Aldo Javier Accinelli Obando (University of Amsterdam) and Sun Yan (Durham University) on receiving the award! They can use the bursary to support their attendance at this year’s Post-Medieval Archaeology Congress.
