We are pleased to announce our Community Engagement Award winner for 2024. It was awarded to the Pharmafluence Education Advancement Network (PEAN) for their project ‘Cultural Heritage Preservation: Engaging Secondary School Students in Kaduna’.
The project aims to engage secondary school students in Kaduna, Nigeria in preserving and promoting the region’s post-medieval archaeological heritage. Many students may be unaware of their surroundings’ rich historical and cultural significance, particularly the post-colonial heritage that has shaped Kaduna’s identity. This initiative hopes to safeguard cultural identity and promote local tourism through this project.
